When you enquire

The contact form collects your name, email address, photography type and message, plus your proposed shoot location if you choose to provide it. I use these details to answer your enquiry, discuss your needs and arrange photography. The required fields help me respond; you can also contact me directly by email.

Bookings and galleries

If you want to book, I enter the relevant booking details into Unscripted to manage your session. Client galleries are delivered through Pixieset, which handles gallery access and downloads under its own privacy terms.

Occasional email updates

The form has an optional, unticked box for occasional Soul Lens news and session offers. You do not need to opt in to make an enquiry or book. You can withdraw your permission at any time by emailing me, or using an unsubscribe option where provided.

Services that handle information

Web3Forms processes and emails your enquiry to my Microsoft-hosted inbox. Cloudflare hosts this website and processes technical information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect it. These providers, along with Unscripted and Pixieset where relevant, may process information outside New Zealand.

See Web3Forms’ privacy policy for its processing, spam prevention and retention details. Its policy states that form submissions may be retained for up to three years, depending on the plan and earlier deletion. My own retention practice below does not automatically delete copies held by providers.

How long information is kept

I delete my copies of enquiries that do not become bookings after 12 months, unless there is an ongoing conversation. If you separately opt into email updates, I keep your subscription details until you unsubscribe or they are no longer needed. Booking records are kept as needed to provide the service and meet applicable record-keeping requirements.

Access, corrections and questions

You can ask to access or correct your personal information, or request deletion, by emailing genshaw@live.com. I may need to confirm your identity. Some information may need to be retained for legitimate business or legal reasons. Please contact me first with any concerns; you can also contact the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner.

Website tracking

Google Analytics and Meta Pixel have not been added to this website’s code. Hosting and security providers may still process technical usage information. This notice will be updated if additional tracking is introduced.
